Crescentville Baptist Church is located in the near northeast section of Philadelphia, at 521 East Godfrey Avenue, just a half block East of Rising Sun Avenue and a half mile Northwest of Adams Avenue and Route 1, also known as Roosevelt Boulevard.
From the North, the best approach is to come South on Rising Sun Avenue to Godfrey Avenue and turn left to go one half block East to 521 East Godfrey, to the church. From Route 73, which is Cottman Avenue, or outside of Philadelphia Township Line Road, Godfrey Avenue is about two miles to the South.
From the South, the church can be found by travelling North on Rising Sun Avenue from Route 1 or Roosevelt Boulevard. Godfrey Avenue is the seventh traffic light North of the Boulevard,just past Adams Avenue where Rising Sun Plaza is located. One block North of Adams Avenue is Godfrey Avenue, and you turn right to go East on Godfrey one half block to the church.
From the East, it is best to take Adams Avenue going West off of Route 1 or Roosevelt Boulevard. The next traffic light is Whitaker Avenue, where you turn right to go North on Whitaker, until it ends at Godfrey Avenue, forcing you to turn left to go West on Godfrey Avenue. The church is just three blocks from Whitaker Avenue, on Godfrey Avenue.
From the West, you will need to cross Tookany Creek Park to get to the church. The closest crossing of the park is at Adams Avenue. From the West you can access Adams Avenue from either Champlost Street, or from Cheltenham Avenue, or from Tookany Creek Parkway. Take Adams Avenue East across the creek, under a train overpass and up the hill to Rising Avenue, where the shopping plaza is located. At the traffic light at Rising Sun Avenue, turn left to go North on Rising Sun one block to Godfrey Avenue, and turn right to go one half block East to the church.

From the Pennsylvania Turnpike Exit 26, coming from the West Fort Washington and take Route 309 South to Philadelphia. At the end of the expressway, the fourth traffic light is Cheltenham Avenue. Turn Left, going East on Cheltenham Avenue. Follow it for approximately 3 miles where it will come to an end at a traffic light. Turn Right, going South on Crescentville Road. At the bottom of the hill is the next traffic light at Adams Avenue. Turn Left, going East on Adams, proceed up the hill to the next traffic light at Rising Sun Avenue. Turn Left on Rising Sun Avenue, going North for one block to Godfrey Avenue, the next traffic light. Turn right and go one half block to the church on your left.
From Turnpike Exit 28, coming from the East, use the directions above for coming South on Route 1, Roosevelt Boulevard to Adams Avenue listed above.
From Interstate 95, from the South,Use the Bridge Street Exit, which will place you on Harbison Avenue going North. Note the traffic light from the ramp: 5th traffic light is Torresdale Avenue; 13th traffic light is Frankford Avenue. From the end of the exit rampt from I-95, count 15 traffic lights to Levick Street (Merit gas station on the right, large radio tower beyond the intersection on the left, 1.9 miles from the end of the exit ramp). Turn Left on Levick Street, going West. Follow Levick Street to Route 1, Roosevelt Boulevard. Cross over Route 1/Roosevelt Boulevard to the far outside lanes and Turn Left, going South on Route 1/Roosevelt Boulevard. You will drive through Oxford Circle and cross Pratt Street and Summerdale Avenue. After Summerdale be sure to move to the Right lane to exit onto Adams Avenue. Just past the Tower Shopping Center, the next light is Adams Avenue. Turn Right, going West on Adams Avenue. Take Adams Avenue one block to Whitaker Avenue and Turn Right at the traffic light on Whitaker Avenue, going North. Whitaker Avenue will end forcing you to turn Left on Godfrey Avenue. Cross Tabor Road (traffic light), Bingham Street (Stop sign) and Colgate Street. The church will be on your right at 521 East Godfrey Avenue.
From Interstate 95, from the North, use the Bridge Street Exit and turn right on Bridge Street, at the bottom of the exit ramp, at the traffic light. From there follow the directions above for I-95.
From Route 76, Schuylkill Expressway from the West, from Valley Forge, take 76 East to Route 1 North (just after the City Avenue Exit for Route 1 South). Take Route 1/Roosevelt Boulevard North to the end of the expressway. The first traffic light is 9th Street. Continue North on Route 1, in the inside lanes to Rising Avenue and Turn Left, going North on Rising Sun Avenue. The 9th traffic light from Route 1/Roosevelt Boulevard is Godfrey Avenue. Turn Right on Godfrey Avenue, going East The church is one half block East on Godfrey Avenue, on your left.
From Route 76, Schuylkill Expressway, from the East, take 76 West to Route 1/Roosevelt Boulevard North and follow the directions above.
